We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in Segensworth. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high‑quality electrical maintenance, installations, and project work, ensuring all activities are compliant with regulations and Kraken standards.
This is a hands‑on role that suits someone who enjoys problem‑solving, collaborating across teams, and taking pride in delivering reliable, efficient electrical solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and installations
- Ensuring compliance with electrical regulations, safety standards, and internal policies
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Supporting and mentoring team members with technical guidance and best practice
- Working closely with Mechanical, Operations, Safety, and Quality teams on cross‑functional tasks
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent
- Supporting material ordering, budgeting activities, and stock control for electrical supplies
What we're looking for

- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Ensuring equipment is safe, tested, and fit for purpose
- Following all company health & safety processes and procedures
- Correctly using PPE and reporting any defects or hazards
- Promptly reporting health and safety concerns to your line manager or QHSE
- Significant recent experience in an electrical role within a marine or similar technical environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- A proactive, safety‑first mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable experience
- HNC / HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Confident problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
